- CSVs are accountant-friendly: dates, states, gallons, miles, dollars in flat columns, no nested JSON
- Documents under 50 MB are inline; larger ones come with 7-day signed download links
- A README in the ZIP explains the IFTA four-year carrier-side retention rule and what each file in the ZIP is for
- Reachable from Settings, and from the cancel-subscription flow, so leaving doesn't mean losing records
Even after you cancel, read-only access stays on
If you cancel your subscription, HaulFile puts your account in read-only mode. You can still log in, still view every record, and still run the full export.

account.json (your settings, no password hashes); per-quarter fuel + mileage CSVs; ifta-Q1-2026.json (the locked snapshot, with exact rates, exact totals, exact lines); compliance-deadlines.csv; documents/; audit-log.csv; README.md.
Why we built this before billing, and why it stays
We shipped the full-account export before the live billing wall went up, on purpose. Your records belong to you; the product is the convenience layer.
